June 22, 2025: The Next Wave
Acts: 13:36 “For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, was buried with his fathers…”
Every generation of Christians has had its own unique challenge. History is going somewhere. Jesus said “And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled”. Nothing is wasted in time, God is willing that none would perish, and so every generation has its time and mission until the Kingdom of God arrives. Every generation must face the challenges before them and live as faithful disciples. David served his generation, we must serve ours. We are also remined to do this with Grace. We are to love those around us in the same way that we have been loved by our Heavenly Father. Hebrews 12:28-29 “therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire.”
So how do we prepare for the next wave: (1) Be sure your heart is motivated by love (2) Be clear about you objectives (3) Prayer is not preparation for the battle, prayer is the battle. (4) Faith is knowing that God will accomplish His purpose through you…trust where God leading you. (5) If your shaking in your boots, step back and wait. Ask God for help and confidence, courage, and peace. Still yourself in knowing that God is with you.
